December Mama of the Month

Where are you originally from?

Everywhere (military brat), but I claim Texas.

What is your current job? Or what did you do before staying at home (if you don’t currently work outside the home)?

I was a teacher. Now I get to stay at home with my girls and prepare them for school.

What are two fun facts about you?

I love sports, watching, playing, and occasionally taking my husband down in Fantasy Football.

I grew up in a military family, so I have lived in many different states also including living in Puerto Rico.

When did you join FIT4MOM Honolulu?

March 2023

What is your favorite class to attend?

All of them. I enjoy stroller strides and body well.

Who is your workout buddy and their age?

Mary (5) is the best workout buddy I could have she loves working out right alongside me :) Also Kelly (2) loves the playground time and being outside.

What is your favorite thing about FIT4MOM?

The community is huge. It’s nice to have a place to go and hang out with other moms. You get a great workout in and socialize with other people in the same boat as you.

What would you say to a mom that is on the fence about joining Fit4Mom?

Just do it!!! You will not regret it.

Share your thoughts on the concept of “it takes a village” – is it important for moms to join a village?

It is very important for moms to join a village. I struggled after I had my second. I needed an outlet something where I was doing something for me. Fit4Mom allowed me to get a workout in, bring my children, and have somewhat of a social life again.

What is your favorite beverage?

Wine and water

You are given 4 hours of FREE babysitting. What would you do?

I would probably go get my nails or hair done.

What is your ultimate child-free vacation destination?

Probably just island hop. I would like to check out Kaua’i. I would lay by the pool and eat all the food.

How has becoming a mother changed you?

It has taught me so much. I think the biggest thing it has taught me is patience, to slow down and realize that I am raising tiny humans that just want to be loved.
