Where are you originally from?
I'm from Waipio Gentry, Oahu. Although I was born and spent my first year in Wahiawa.
What is your current job? Or what did you do before staying at home (if you don’t currently work outside the home)?
I work as a dual-credit advisor/coordinator at Hawaii Pacific University.
What are three fun facts about you?
I know American Sign Language. My husband Cy and I were on the OC16 tv show Ultimate Japan in 2015. I've dabbled in dancing from lindy hop to bon dancing to country line dancing!
When did you join FIT4MOM Honolulu?
In April 2024.
What is your favorite class to attend?
Strides 360!
Who is your workout buddy and their age?
My workout buddy is Lofton and he's 19 months old.
What is your favorite thing about FIT4MOM?
I love the camaraderie!
What would you say to a mom that is on the fence about joining FIT4MOM?There's a lot more to this program than just working out! The instructors are all mamas, you can bring your keiki to class, and best of all, you will have other mamas to talk to!
Share your thoughts on the concept of “it takes a village” – is it important for moms to join a village?
Yes, raising a child isn't always easy so having other mamas to confide in or share sentiments with helps a lot.
What is your favorite beverage?
Frozen hot chocolate!
What is your favorite thing to eat?
Acai bowls
You are given 4 hours of FREE babysitting. What would you do?
Take a nap then go to afternoon tea with friends.
What is your ultimate childfree vacation destination?
To spend a day at Disneyland or at Powell's Books.
How has becoming a mother changed you?
I've learned to do things for Lofton that I thought were scary and difficult at first (like taking him out myself).
