Where are you originally from? Memphis, Tennessee Home of the Blues

What is your current job? Or what did you do before staying at home (if you don’t currently work outside the home)? Current position CEO of Hymes Family Household Operations.

What are three fun facts about you?

I know the full Michael Jachson Thiller music video dance routine.

I was kissed by professional boxer Muhammad Ali when I was a baby, and the picture was in the newspaper.

When did you join FIT4MOM Honolulu? I started with Fit4Baby when I was about 15 weeks pregnant in May 2022

What is your favorite class to attend? Stroller strides Tuesdays at Magic Island, but I enjoyed Fit4Baby while I was pregnant. The classes were the perfect pace to get me moving during that time

Who is your workout buddy and their age? My very active son Stokely age 2

What is your favorite thing about FIT4MOM? The support of a healthy mom community. I truly belive that fit4mom is all about mind, body, and spirit; all things I need to be the best mom I can be. I am taking care of both my mental and physical health by being a member. I am also setting a example for my son who is watching me exercise.

What would you say to a mom who is on the fence about joining FIT4MOM? Just Do it! Do it for yourself with the added bonus of baby friends for your little one. Do not feel discouraged to come it is a true judgement free zone.

Share your thoughts on the concept of “it takes a village” – is it important for moms to join a village? A community of people are needed to provide the support for a safe and healthy environment for children to grow up in. No one person can support the entire growth of a little human alone. Your village matters.

What is your favorite beverage? a nice cold glass of Prosecco

What is your favorite thing to eat? Southern Fried fish, fried green tomatoes, and collard greens

You are given 4 hours of FREE babysitting. What would you do? Get dressed up without rushing and go dancing!

What is your ultimate child-free vacation destination? An all-inclusive resort in the Maldives. I would sleep, eat while my food is hot, and swim.

How has becoming a mother changed you? I have learned to slow down and enjoy the wins, big or small

I am happiest when... Seeing my son be a social butterfly and learn and play with other children.
